It's time for Health Insurance Enrollment — Make sure your provider is in-network!
It's important to confirm that your provider is in-network for your specific plan because insurance companies regularly change their networks.
How you can check
- Check your insurance company's website
Many insurance companies have a "find your doctor" option on their website.
- Call your insurance company
You can call the member services number on the back of your health insurance ID card. You can also call the insurance company's general number and provide the provider's tax ID number and your plan name.
- Ask your Providence practice
You can ask your provider for their tax ID number and then contact your insurance company to check if they are in-network.
We do our best to help you control the cost of quality care
Even though we have no control over what insurance plans require for deductibles and co-pays, staying in-network with a trusted Providence provider is still the best way to assure cost effective, quality health care.
If you use an out-of-network provider, you'll typically pay a higher percentage of the cost. You might also have a separate, higher deductible if you use out-of-network services.
